We love Lost Valley - we usually have no trouble following the reservation rules to enjoy weekends away. It is nice to have a place to go close to home that is clean and fun!!! I much prefer being a member over being a visitor to public camp grounds. We share the dues with family to keep costs down. The dues are up because of repairs that are required. Thank you to all the Lost Valley staff for your hard work!
The only area in the park they work on the roads is the same area they block out so that during prime camping times, we the members that actually pay the dues can not find a decent camping spot so the resort developer can run promotions with RV dealers in hopes of trapping some one else into this resort. Tried to make a reservation and told all booked up only to find out the developer had blocked off an entire section for this. Try driving down the washed out road in the 500's. It has been pathetic for over 10 years. The repairs they do make are done so much on the cheap they are already falling apart. Take a look at the parking lot of the welcome center. They held a sham election for the board of directors and didn't even bother to post the results because the developer decides who is going to be on the board. The rental trailers are a disgrace and should have been replaced years ago. Everyone can see they have been falling apart for years but yet nothing is done about it. This place is really all about lining the developers pocket. A good example of that is Ranch Riata in lost valley lake. What a joke and a failure. I'm for someone making a profit if they have a good product but this place is not it. I belong to another resort that is truly run by the members(owners) and it makes lost valley lake look like a dump. Lost Valley Lake doesn't deserve to have any more memberships sold. Keep your money.
We love it here . And our kids to. And we r looking forward to our grandkids coming down with us next
Stay away. The Board of Directors are a joke and incompetent. Major repairs need to be made and nothing was done over the years to budget for long term repairs. Financial reports given are always several years behind and not for the most recent fiscal year. One month before the maintenance dues are due we are notified that the dues are almost doubled. What they just found out they had a problem? They have a right to raise the dues but really to raise the dues so much with so little notice is a good example of how they treat the owners. They don't care about the members(so called owners), it is all about how much the developer makes. How about a little notice and a heads up that it will be coming. They keep saying the increase is short term but wont tell us for how long. My guess is the increase will stay this high for years as they try to get members to pay for them to take back the memberships.
Love my membership. Wonderful place to stay. Nice hot tubs.
I am planning a trip and found LVL Resort...everything looks Great on the web page. What I am looking for because it is normally not stated, what percentage of the roads in the campground paved? Also, are they in good condition?
